Description
The 1990 SONY wm-702 has a wire control of indicator lights and sound cues.
Although it is a successor of wm-701c, the low-frequency dude-noise reduction C has been removed, and the ear wiring control has been upgraded. LED lights and sound are used to indicate the operation status, which can be easily confirmed without looking at the host.

One of the first Walkmans I could possibly own. It has its issues with the erratic responses of different controls, but still- A Walkman is still a Walkman.
